Lil Wayne is one of the greatest rappers/song writers this world has ever heard of. Lil Wayne’s birth given is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. He was born on September 27, 1982 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Dwayne Michael Turner and Jacinda Carter. However, right after birth his father left him and his mother. During those times, him and his mother were forced to live by themselves in the criminal infested community at Hollygrove division of New Orleans. Thankfully after doing that for a few years his mother met Reginald “Rabbit” McDonald, who eventually became his stepfather. Years later, Lil Wayne developed his interest in hip hop and rap music. He was influenced by Cash Money Recording Artists like Pimp Daddy and U.N.L.V. He began rapping at block parties where he was first noticed by Lil Slim, a Cash Money rapper. Just a year after signing the contract, Lil Wayne got caught about in an accident that almost took his life. He accidently shot himself in the chest with his stepfathers gun, putting him on life support for two weeks. After recovering from his near death experience, Lil Wayne marched on to welcoming his first gig, at this gig he also met up with another rapper who goes by the name of Lil Dougie. During this same time Lil Wayne was forced to drop out of 10th grade and have a daughter with his high school sweetheart, Antonia. Though Lil Wayne had been known in several states by 1999, his release of his solo debut, “Tha Block is Hot” really got his name out there and he became known worldwide. Later in June of 2004, he released his biggest album ever, “Tha Carter” which peaked at number five in Billboard 200 and at number two on Billboard Top R’n’B/Hip-Hop albums. That later then led to the creation of “Tha Cater II” in 2005 that was at number two on Billboards album chart.
