Katy Perry Katy Perry a former Christian singer that has flourished and became one of the top singers of the world in our twenty first century. She is a great artist expressing her music through pop trying to get many of teen’s attention and others more. There are many emotions that Katy Perry is trying to evoke her fans with. For example in this specific album of hers “Teen Age Dream” that has twelve new tracks that goes from pop, hip hop, rock, disco, funk, and many more song genres that has up lifted many emotions in her fans and with herself. The emotions Katy Perry is trying to reach out to her fans are happiness, regret, and love from her album “Teen Age Dream”. For example in the song “Last Friday Night” by Katy Perry she questions her fans by asking what dreams have we had?, what memories did we want?. She says most people cannot remember a dream even if they tried. The emotion she is trying to capture is you should feel better about yourself and be happy. Katy Perry is different from many artists out there. She is different from Taylor swift for example because Katy Perry’s music is more about how great life is and that we should be happy and Taylor Swifts music is more slow and about love usually. Katy Perry tries to extend more out of the love and write about other things that are interesting too. In one of Katy Perry’s song called “Firework” has a very memorable lyric which is “ You Just gotta ignite the light And let it shine Just own the night like the Fourth of July” this is a very memorable lyric because as you can see she is trying to inspire her fans that they can do anything they want if they try for the best of themselves. The song “Fireworks” also gives her fans more confidence too. Critics say Katy Perry sucks and is useless and is a disgrace because she was a former Christian singer and her music is very inappropriate. I can honestly say that Katy Perry seems to be doing well and her music is very inspiring. Just because some people find her music offending doesn’t mean others who like it do. I believe that Katy Perry is a great singer and there is more to come. She is defiantly worth the time and money for people to hear her voice when they step into their car to their destination.
