Katy Perry is one of the most famous Pop singers of our time. Her real name is Kathryn Hudson and she was born on October 25, 1984. She signed with Capitol records in 2007, the same year she adopted her stage name. She started becoming famous after she released her first big album, One of the Boys. This boosted her career faster than you could imagine. It lead the way for some of her most famous songs such as: “I Kissed a Girl”, “Hot n Cold”, and “Teenage Dream”. These songs are about her teenage “flings” with boyfriends and girlfriends. She uses upbeat songs to give off a fun and happy vibe in her songs. She is comparable to other artists like Pit-Bull who is also a Pop singer. They both use upbeat songs and lyrics to catch the attention of their audience. Both artist are heard often on the radio as they are seemingly always on the top songs. She has a lot of famous songs as shown by her being the only singer to be the only artist to spend 69 weeks on the top ten of the hot 100. One of her world famous songs is “Teenage Dream” which is about her and her boyfriend running away to be together forever. A lot of her critics and fans love her and her songs. I agree i think she has some of the best songs of all the artists today. She has an amazing singing voice and has great lyrics to accompany it. I think she will be one of the most famous singers of our generation. If you have not heard any of her songs you should go out and buy her album. Her albums are a must buy and everybody should have her on their IPod.
