The album I read reviews on was “Fearless” by Taylor Swift. Her main type of music is country, however there has been several of her songs that have been made into pop songs. The feelings and emotions that are evoked in this album is mostly love and passion. Her singing really shows her emotions, because she writes about things that have occurred in her life and relates it to other people. One of my favorite lyrics from this album is in her song, You Belong with Me. “Can't you see that I'm the one who understand you? Been here all along so why can't you see? You belong with me.” The reason why this is one of my favorites is because it shows how she has helped this guy through all his problems and has always been there for him, and she secretly likes him. In the end, he realizes that she is the girl for him. Another one of my favorite lyric is from the song titled Fifteen. “Cause when you're fifteen and somebody tells you they love you, You’re gonna believe them. And when you're fifteen feeling like there's nothing to figure out Well, count to ten, take it in, this is life before you know who you're gonna be.” I like this lyric because it is telling younger people that even though they may think they are in love, true love comes in time. She is trying to tell them not to fall in love so easily, because it hurts to have a broken heart. I really enjoy her music because unlike other artist, she always ends her songs happily and tries to teach a lesson to people through her songs. I mostly agree with the other critics’ opinion on this album. Most of the critics really enjoyed this album and stated that she is a great and talented artist. Overall, I rate this album a four out of five stars. I would say that this album is defiantly worth your time and money.

Good job Miranda! I agree with what you said. The music that Taylor Swift writes often gets turned into pop music and often into remixes. The feelings that are evoked are love and passion. I agree with this statement. The lyrics to the song You Belong With Me are indeed memorable. I do not know the other songs very well that you have listed about to agree or diagree with. I agree with you on that Taylor Swift always ends her songs happily and tries to teach a lesson. I agree on the statement that Taylor Swift is a talented artist. I would rate her album a four out of five stars too and i think it is definitely worth the money and time.

ReplyDeleteYay Miranda :) I'm not really into Taylor Swift because like you said most of her song's teach you a lesson, to me that is just kind of boring. I admit I do like some of her songs because of the beats, but her lyrics kind of just bore me. They are like sappy love songs. For example "Love Story" is obviously a love song. "Our song" (although I believe is on another album) is talking about her and her boyfriend's life basically. Or "You belong with me" is talking about the boy she likes. It's kind of just repeating sappy songs. BUT on a positive note, I VERY MUCH agree with the lyrics you like from the song titled "Fifteen" because it is SO true. You see it at John Marshall every day, (usually with Freshman) telling "boyfriends/girlfriends" they've been supposedly "dating" for like a week and they are just "ooohh so in love" with them. It's actually quite disgusting how people throw around the words "I love you" especially when the little Freshman at school do it, it's actually quite humorous. But overall, if you like country, I'm positive you'll like Taylor Swift. So if you're into that stuff then I agree with you, totally buy the album!
