The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are an emo band that started their career as a local band down in Middleburg, Florida. Their music is described as a punk, rock, and deep emotional feeling kind of music; like in their album “Don’t You Fake It” the song “Face Down” stares down domestic abuse with the swirling guitars and a chorus that proclaims "Do you feel like a man when you push her around? Do you feel better now as she falls to the ground?” The band jumps back and forth in their feel of music and in what kind of music they write. It can feel like once you hear their music, their just a bunch of just rocking, crazy maniacs, but once you start listening closely to their music; you can start to hear the different in their emotions. Also from the same album, their song “Your Guardian Angel” is a slow soft song that leads into a dramatic change in tone and volume, when the lead singer Ronnie Winter, sings to the top of the lungs to express his pain and emotion into a single verse that can lead the whole audience speechless. One part of the lyrics in this song always gets me and that is when Ronnie sings “I will never let you fall, I’ll stand up with you forever, I’ll be there for you through it all, Even if saving you sends me to heaven”, and whenever he sings that part of the song, my heart just rises and it stays there for a moment until his voice just slowly goes away and his voice disappears. To the thought of this band, I do think every single person in the world should listen to The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, because you might just discover something about yourself that you might have never known.
