This Blueprint 3, by Jay-Z, is a mixture of rap and hip hop. The tone of voice and the majority of his words have changed greatly. You can tell that he is maturing as a person and as a rapper. In this album he collaborates with many other artists such as Luke Steele, Kanye West, Rihanna, Young Jeezy, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Drake, J. Cole, Kid Cudi, Pharrell, and Mr. Hudson. I agree with other critics that in this album there is more of the featured singers then there is of Jay-Z. I also agree that the content of his songs are more mature and about real life situations. They aren’t filled with a bunch of bogus swearing about hoes and drugs. All in all, I would definitely recommend this album to people of all ages. Its fast up tempo music with very good meaning to the lyrics.

  1. I agree with you on Jay-Z because he is still a great rapper. Even though he's a great rapper, he needs to think about things before he does them, like saying he's done with making music, but he really isn't. That makes him look dumb and just tells us next time he says that, he really won't be leaving. But overall Jay-Z is one of the greatest. I really like how he is changing up his style and contributing with more and more artists even though he just shows himself by doing his own things. What made you think about Jay-z while doing this assignment, because he really isn't talked about much anymore? Who is your favorite rapper today? Semir B.
