Kanye West is a well known hip hop and rap artist who has been around creating controversy for many years. Bumping heads with people like George Bush and Taylor Swift. He never seems to know when to shut his mouth. Saying stuff like George Bush doesn’t care about black people in 2004 at the American Music Awards, and interrupting Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards during her speech. He always feels the need to interrupt other people and talk about how he feels and what he thinks about everything. I defiantly agree with the critics’ opinion when they say that West’s mouth gets him in trouble. On his last album, he played around with auto tune and produced an album full of heartbreak and sorrow. Most of the inspiration from his new album came from a couple events that happened in his life. His mother died and his fiancĂ©e left him. In one of his songs called “Heartless,” he says "The coldest story ever told/Somewhere far along this road he lost his soul....How could you be so heartless?" This was memorable because Kanye is the type of person who doesn’t let people know bad things about him. He always thinks so highly of himself. But his latest album, called 808s & Heartbreak is a basically a breakup album. He lets all his feelings out on this album. Most of the songs on this album give a depressing feel and it evokes plenty of self pity. Personally, I don’t really want to listen so some guy complain and whine about himself and all the bad things that are going on in his life, so I defiantly would not buy this album. Maybe if someone is going through a tuff time in life can relate to Kanye, they should buy this album. Overall I would probably give 808s & Heartbreak three stars.
