The Vow is one of my favorite romance and drama movies. It was released in theaters on February of 2012. Rachel McAdams (Paige) and Channing Tatum (Leo) are the main characters. This movie is about a newlywed couple. One night as the husband (Tatum) was driving with his wife (McAdams), they came across a tragic accident. The accident that occurred left the wife to lose her memory. The husband does whatever he can to get his wife’s memory back and win her heart. McAdams and Tatum showed a great performance throughout the film. Their emotions were just beyond amazing and with a sad movie like this; the characters were able to put their feelings into the movie very well. The trait that the wife has is that she cares. Her husband tries his hardest to get his wife to remember him and everything that they’ve had together. Paige sees her husband sad and hurt because she can’t gain her memory back so she does whatever he says and relives the past they had. Tatum’s trait in this movie would have to be a fighter. He will do whatever it takes to get his wife to love him again. The theme of this movie would be to never give up on the one you love, even if you end up with bump in the road during your relationship with your significant other. This shows that when you really love someone you would fight till the end no matter what happens. I strongly agree with the movie critics. They give the movie thumbs up and also recommend it to the audiences. There were a lot more good sayings to the movie than bad. Betsy Sharkey from the Los Angeles Times said, “This is a movie that leaves you wanting more. To care more, to cry more, to love more.” As for Michael Phillips he says this movie is “puddin’-headed,” but it’s not soul crushing. I couldn’t disagree with either of these critics. I would have to say my overall opinion on the movie The Vow is definitely our time and money. I say this because this moving has a good story and it’s based on a true story. Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum did a well done job throughout the movie which made me love it even more. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves romance and drama.
