The movie The Wrath of the titans is a movie based on the mythology characters Perseus, Zeus, and Hades. In the first movie The clash of the Titans Perseus defeats “The Kraken” a creature that is threating the life of mankind and decides he’s done being a half human half god and just wants to raise his son as a normal fisherman. But in The Wrath of the Titans Zeus comes to Perseus asking him to help the gods and mankind one last time. But Perseus turns him down. In doing so Zeus gets captured by Hades and is draining his power to revive their dad Cronus in order to become immortal forever. Hades is doing this because the gods are losing their powers because people are not praying to them and not believing in them anymore. So Basically Perseus is on a quest to save his dad Zeus and also to defeat his grandfather Cronus. Perseus played by Sam Worthington was an “average muscular man playing a half god” as said by Roger Ebert and also “he did tasks that were not doable by him” but I thought it just showed his true determination and his love for his son. I do not agree with the movie critic Roger Ebert about how there was “too much going on” he also thought that there was one too many exploding mountain. But you have to realize we are watching gods not humans. He also says that there is no way two men could stop a mountain from coming together but again you have to realize that these men are half gods so they do have strength like the gods. I personally think this was an entertaining movie. There are some parts of the mythology that could be better but it was a movie not a mythology documentary. I believe that this movie is worth the time and money if you like action movies and if you are a fan of movies like 300 and Clash of the Titans.
