Guest Blogger: Tha Movie 2

The Fast and the Furious-Tokyo Drift is an intense street racing movie about a boy named Sean that is involved in street racing. Sean lives with his mom and has gotten himself into some racing trouble. After he ruins a car, he is told not to race again, however, he does not listen to this and he starts to race again. He then gets in a very bad car accident and is forced to go to Tokyo to live with his dad, in hopes that he will stop racing. Sean did a very good job in this movie, he is basically a redneck that gets sent to live with a lot of asian people and at first, he does not fit in well at all with all the kids in Tokyo, but he does a good job of playing the part of someone that does not fit in. Another main character in this movie is DK, which stands for Drift King. He is really big into racing as well, and it is very hard for anybody to beat him in a race. Some of his traits are that he is very competitive, and when someone tries to beat him in a race, he plays dirty. He is also motivated in this movie to keep the girls all wanting him. If someone were to beat him in a race, the girls would start liking that other person instead of him.
Some themes in this movie are that you shouldn’t be too over confident. DK was very confident that nobody would beat him and his over confidence got him into trouble in the end. Another theme in this movie is that if you want to become good at it, you have to work really hard for it. Sean had no idea how to drift when he got to Tokyo, and the only way for him to be good at it was to spend hours learning and practicing how to do it.
Critics rated this movie a D+, which I personally disagree with. It was well put together and had a good plot. It had a lot of action and kept me watching and trying to guess what would happen next. Overall, this movie is well worth seeing. If you want to see an exciting, action packed racing movie, then this is the movie to see.
