I agree completely with Abbie. My Sister’s Keeper is definitely one of my top favorite movies of the recent year. My Sister’s Keeper is about a dysfunctional family with three children. Their eldest happens to be suffering from leukemia, and their youngest was made in a lab to be, basically, spare parts for the eldest. The youngest, Anna, sues her parents for medical emancipation, so she doesn’t have to donate bone marrow to her sister, Kate. The movie shows a lot of flashbacks of the family. The ending has quiet the twist, which I won’t spoil for those who haven’t seen this movie, which reveals the characters true intention in the movie. As for acting, I’ll admit, that I had not heard of Sofia Vassilieva and Abigail Breslin until I had seen this movie, so I can’t really critic them well, they both played their roles quiet well is what I do have to say about them, though. As for Cameron Diaz, I must admit I was kind of iffy on her. I really didn’t think she’d have what it would take to play a mother of a dysfunctional family. However she did prove me wrong, now I can’t picture anyone else playing that role! As for themes I think it would be learning to let go can be the hardest thing ever, at least that’s what I took away from this film, which is true. This movie is worth see at least once, if not more.
