The story of the great Titanic ship that hit a iceburg and sank in April 1912 is known worldwide. When the 1997 film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet came out it was a reality to the viewers of what really happened that night that history went to the bottom of the ocean. During this film we follow the memorable experience of Rose DeWitt (played by Kate Winslet) and her uprising love for Jack. Their experiences together are memorable but the night the Titanic hit the iceberg their fight to survive is even more astonishing to viewers. Throughout the movie we witness the tragedy play out and the choices and sacrifices people made to survive or die. Titanic was the highlight of Kate Winslet where her talents bloomed and she triggered our emotions when she was sad, happy or scared. Also, this classic film ignited Leonardo DiCaprio career after we saw his passion for Rose and his sacrifice he was willing to make for her which won the viewers vote for him as a timeless hero and Romeo. This classic movie had the overall theme of survival whether it mean surviving love or surviving life. This remarkable film is hard for any critic to give a bad review because the characters drive the story to tell the truth about this tragic accident that most people wouldn’t ever dream of surviving but we connect with Rose and Jack as their survival is fueled by each others’ love for one another. Everyone should watch this movie at least once to admire the great talent that went into producing such a timeless classic and to make viewers think of what would they do in a life or death situation and would the love for someone else be worth saving them even if it means dying yourself.
