The band One Direction is a group of guys from the United Kingdom. They just released their album Up All Night last November and are often described as a pop band. The songs are the album are anywhere from dancing songs that you just want to get up and move with it to even a slower song. The album Up All Night has many different feels to it, but it’s mostly an upbeat album. The guys have some fun when they’re filming their music videos and also just hanging out. Two of the songs on the album are “What Makes You Beautiful” and “Up All Night” have the same kind of beat to them. “What Makes You Beautiful” is an upbeat song that is the song that everyone knows and is the song that hit the charts for the group. This song is one that people can get up and dance to. The lyrics are talking about how you don’t know what you have going for you. So you’re not able to flaunt it to everyone. This was also the song that got them on the charts. “Up All Night” is talking about a typical night for a teenager that just wants to have some fun. They are planning on having fun by hanging out with some friends. In this song, they also mention one of Americans singer, Katy Perry. The two songs are ones that will keep you moving all night. The band has been compared to the Backstreet Boys, mostly the song “Bye, Bye Bye” and how catchy the songs are. Another band that they could be compared to is ‘N Sync. I disagree with what some of the critics have said. I don’t see them breaking up any time soon, but that doesn’t mean that it won’t happen. The band is a solid group that is all about having fun and making some music in the progress. The guys all have things that they contribute to the group, without one, it wouldn’t be the same. I would say that you could get into the music if you liked the other bands that they’re like, but they are a group that is just up and coming now, so the music could change. I would give them a chance if you’re looking for new music.
