One person I think that will never get old in the music industry is Michael Jackson. He has done a lot of different music types during his career, but his main type was R&B. I’ve been listening to Michael for years now and I would have to say that the most inspiring song I’ve heard by him would have to be “Man in the Mirror” because a lot of emotion is shown in the song. The emotions behind it are care and giving back. He says in the song that he wants to make a change, but if you want to change the world you have to start with yourself, don't just sit back and complain about the way things are, changing who you are is the first step to changing things around you. Comparing this song to any other artist wouldn’t be a hard thing do because it has two sides to it. One side is growing up and becoming who you made yourself to be and being put out in the real would and the other side is struggling with self-image, personal identity, and media attention. One of the lyrics from the song that really gives me a particular memory is “I see the kids in the street, with not enough to eat.” The memory I get from this lyric is when me and my friends go biking downtown and we see homeless people struggling. I think that Michael Jackson is worth your time and money because he was such a huge influence on the music we listen to today and even though he has passed away he still touches the hearts of everyone who listens to music. He became the king of pop and was such an inspiration to all kids and adults. His songs had meaning and showed his side of the story and what he went through. People that listened to his music believed that could make their dreams come true like he did.
