A Milli is how many copies The Carter III sold in one week’s time. “A Milli” is also the name of one of his most famous songs. His music has reached radio stations around the world and he is worldwide known by people ages 8-90. Lil Wayne’s hard work and dedication has finally paid off. The young 27 year old hip/hop artist from Holly Grove, New Orleans has accomplished his goal and beat out Kanye West in number of album copies sold. The feeling I get when listening to this album is like no other because Lil Wayne’s music is fun to listen to and no matter how old you are I think that you could find a Lil Wayne song that you enjoy. The songs on this album are not similar to any other artist out there. Lil Wayne has used is determination and creativity to created an album that will be forever talked about in the music industry. In the song “Mr. Carter” featuring famous rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z, Wayne says, “And next time you mention Pac, Biggie, Jay-Z don’t forget to mention Weezy Baby!” He says this because he classifies himself as a great rapper, exactly what he is, and he wants other people to know that he’s the best to ever do it so that’s why he puts himself in the category with Tu Pac, Biggie, and Jay-Z. Other reviews of this album have been very impressive. Rolling stone and Billboard has nothing but excellent things to say about the album. I agree, if I had a few bucks hanging around in my pocket, I would definitely go pick up this album. Overall this album is great. I think this will be his most memorable album yet and the million sales in one week show just how good the album is. I suggest you go buy it because it is definitely worth your money!
