Muse
Muse is known as a rock band. The trio has put out many albums and singles that are loved all over the world. Their music fills listeners with an incredible sense of spirit and joy. Their music was initially made to please their fans in Europe, where they are originally from. It then became a need to please fans on a global level, so their style of music may have changed just a bit. Many of their songs are simply rock ballads intended for listeners to enjoy. Muse is very similar to Radiohead, and often criticized for copying their music. Both bands are rock bands that pump out hardcore rock ballads. One song that is memorable is their newest single, called Uprising. It was inspired by the G2O protests. They also claim it is a song about being ‘screwed over’ by anyone more powerful than you, which anyone can relate to. It is a medium tempo song that utilizes their abilities to play their instruments. It is very catchy and hard not to like. Another popular song by Muse is Supermassive Black Hole, which was featured in the movie Twilight. It is more intense than Uprising, and features much more guitar. The song is about the bands views on many topics, including politics and global warming. I agree with the critics when they say Muse is an incredible band, but I also agree when they say that Muse 'borrows' much of its music from other bands. But nowadays, it's almost impossible to come up with anything completely original. It's all been done, and it's hard not to see similarities in any two rock bands. As long as you won’t be bored by more rock music, Muse will be worth the money and time you give them. The music they produce is very enjoyable and I think you will very much like it.
