Marley and me starring Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson is about a couple who just got married and she basically has a ordered list of things that she wants to do step by step. Well next on her list was to have a baby but he didn’t think they were ready for one yet so he decided to get a dog to see how it would go. So after they get this cute dog and take care of it for a while she has her first kid, and its pretty difficult for them but once the next kid comes along you can tell there marriage is falling apart, and Marley in there eyes is the worlds worst dog so he adds no help to there problem. But as the movie goes on you grow to LOVE the dog and so do they, then all of a sudden Marley gets sick and eventually has to be put to sleep which is the tear jerking part of the movie. Jennifer Aniston I think in my eyes had one of her better performances it wasn’t her typical movie that she’s normally in but I think she did a really good job. Owen Wilson is her husband in the movie and I think he did a phenomenal job as well, he was funny when he needed to be, and really showed his emotions well in the film. I agree with that critics thought about the movie they pretty much pinned the nail on the coffin. I think what the audience was suppose to take out of the movie was that life is to short to dwell on the little things and get mad at the little things in life, and just don’t take anything for granted because life’s short and you never know when your time is so just be happy everyday and like I said don’t dwell on the little things.

ReplyDeleteMarley and Me is a movie of patience, love, dedication, and hard work. The leading role, Jennifer and John Grogan, are played by Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson, both of which have won awards for their performances. The movie won Teen Choice Award and BMI Film Music Award, so therefore it was an outstanding film. I agree that the actors and actresses played their part well by being realistic and comical. Although Nate thought of a good theme, I think that the movie was about coping with loss. Marley and Me focuses on how annoyed Jennifer and John get with Marley, that you tend to forget how much they love him at the same time. Once Marley grows old and weak, the family must accept that it is Marley’s time to rest in peace. It twists our views on love because Marley wasn’t the typical obedient dog that they wanted him to be. However, they loved him for what he is and not what they thought he could become. I agree it is quite a tear-jerker because the film makes you feel as if your part of the family, so you go through the ups and downs with the Grogan family. Although I loved the movie, I don’t think I would want to see it again because I couldn’t witness watching a puppy grow old ‘til death and a family being torn apart because of it. If you can deal with loss then I think it is worth your time and money, but if not, then I would say stay away from Marley and Me.
