One of my most favorite character driven movies would have to be, The Blindside. The Blind Side is the true story of Michael Oher, a homeless black man youngster from a poor home, and who is taken in by the Touhys; (Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw) a wealthy white family who helps Mike get to his full potential, but at the same time Mike being in the Touhys' lives leads them to some self-discoveries of their own. Living in his new wealthy and well taken care of neighborhood and school, Michael faces a completely different set of challenges to get through, as a football player and a student, He works hard and, with the help of his coaches and adopted family, he becomes an All-American offensive left tackle, and claimed in the movie as The Blindside. Hint’s to the title. Now Michael Oher was the 23rd draft pick for the NFL and plays for the Baltimore Ravens, the Touhys were there the whole way to share this exciting experience. The character that influenced me the most in this inspiring story was Sandra Bullock who played Leigh Touhy. She welcomes Michael into her home with wide open arms and makes me him feel loved and you can start to see that Michael gets comfortable because he beings to start speaking more and not looking so depressed. You can just really see that she cares about Michael through the whole movie, and really becomes his mother. Towards the end of the Movie you see her show emotion of a mother and her son, and she really makes you believe that she is his mother. I think The Blindside is worth the full 8$ It’s a true inspiring story that everyone can learn a lesson from.
