One person I’ve really enjoyed listening lately has been Ella Yelich-O'Connor also known as lorde. She is starting to bring back mid-90’s music for us. Alternative rock & pop music are the types of music she enjoys singing. She decided to upload her free-mixtape rollouts from 2011 when she posted her five-song debut EP, The Love Club on Sound Cloud in New Zealand last November. Little was known of Lorde when her mesmerizing debut single "Royals" first entered Billboard's Alternative chart the week of June 29. Then she decided to drop her September 27, 2013 after letting us only her one song from her tremendous album every song is so well produced and very catchy. Her music is also pretty much like Lana Del Rey’s Music they talk about their past, love, and just life. The song “tennis courts” by Lorde and the song “American” by Lana Del Rey Is very similar to each other they talk about how they fell like no individual is better than each other that were all equal. They also talk about a relationship that went wrong in the past and how they don’t need a man to help they do anything in their life, that they are capable of doing things alone. A song lyric that is memorable by lorde and that is very famous is “And we'll never be royals (royals). It doesn’t run in our blood that kind of luxe just ain't for us. We crave a different kind of buzz. Let me be your ruler (ruler),You can call me queen Bee And baby I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule. Let me live that fantasy.” The “Royals” of the title makes it very obvious a status which Lorde declares herself not only to not be a part of by her DNA, even but which she seems to hold no aspiration towards, saying that she wants something else out of her life and her music. I highly don’t agree with any of the critics her music is fantastic and very peaceful, only certain people will understand her music. She is an amazing artist and so far has done great with her music career.
