The type of music I reviewed is Hip Hop by Nelly. One of the albums I got to hear from him was the album M.O. The emotions of the album are romantic and aggressive. I listened to the song “Just a Dream.” It is memorable because he talks about his feeling and his dreams. He says, “Life sometimes can only be a dream” (Nelly).Nelly teaches the listener that sometimes your dreams might come true. Hearing him sing the song “Grills,” he talks about showing off his mouth jewelry to others. He says, “Smile for your grill your mouth will look like gold” (Nelly). Nelly’s grill represents his money and his fame.
Critics from the Rolling Stone magazine say, “Nelly’s seventh album opens strong with a brilliantly chill Nicki Minaj cameo on a gloriously narcotic Pharrell track ("Get Like Me")” (Rolling Stone).I agree with what the critics say about Nelly because he works well with others just like him working with Nicki Minaj and Future in the song “Give you Dat”.Why I like his music is Because it has a lot of rhythm and beats to it and every time I hear one of his songs, I always get his music stuck inside my head and always end up singing it in my head almost every hour of the day.Nelly’s music is the kind of music that you would want to play loud in your car with your friends and other people. If you go on a very big long road trip with other friends, it makes the time go by really fast and it is enjoyable to others when you are dancing or at a night club with people or if you go to a school dance and play one of his songs. I would recommend this album to anyone who likes Nelly.
