Downlink is also a dubstep/electronica artist. Their songs compared to Knife party are more strictly dubstep, containing slower beats giving a lower BPM. BPM is the overall beat and/or rhythm “per minute”, which is slower than Knife Party’s. The emotions that I feel listening to his music are feelings such as cool, chill, dance, raw, dirty, filthy and BA (you know). If you’re a fellow dubstep fanatic you know exactly what I mean. I agree with the critics for what they have to say about Downlink; though words may not be appropriate to say. Basically Downlink is pure “get naked and dance or beware of bass” kind of situation. The situations I’ve read that can be caused by listening to such bass/beat bumping music are hilarious but make sense especially when you’re listening to Downlink. “There is not much room for quickly running to the fridge and grabbing ice cold lemonade, for the phat beats will certainly explode anything in your fridge before you get there. In fact, the phat beats will also explode your fridge.” (Jeremy Soule) After reading that, there’s not much more that can be said about Downlink. My overall opinion on Downlink is that he’s an incredible dubstep artist that needs to continue doing his magic on making wild and crazy bass kicking songs. Although Downlink is not my all-time favorite dubstep artist, but he has continued to surprise me with all of the new sounds and beats I haven’t ever heard in other dubstep/electronica music. Lastly, a note when you’re sitting at home without any new music to discover, remember that Downlink is there to blow your speakers without innocence. When it comes to dubstep, remember to wear loose clothing and have more bass than your walls in your house can handle.
